Hazrat Imam Muhammad Baqir (A.S) was the son of Hazrat Imam Ali Zain-ul-Abieen bin Hussain(A.S) and he is our 5th Holy Imam Among the 12 Imam. Imam Baqir(A.S) was born in the holy city of Medina 56 AH (676 AD). Imam Baqir(A.S) was also the grandson Of Imam Hussain Bin Ali(A.S) and more interesting things about Imam Baqir(A.S) made a great scientific movement which reached its peak at the time of his son Imam Sadiq (A.S). His narrations in religion, the conduct of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), Qur'an sciences, moral conduct, and manner is more than what is remained from the children of Imam Hasan (A.S) and Imam Hussain (A.S). Thus, during his imamate, a great step was taken towards the organization of Shi'i thought in different fields including ethics, jurisprudence, theology, exegesis, etc. According to historical sources he was present at the Battle of Karbala as a child.

Wives and Children Of Hazrat Imam Muhammad Baqir:

In Some narrations, Bibi Umm Farwa was the wife of Imam Baqir (A.S) and also she was the mother of Imam Sadiq (A.S). some narrations mention another woman known as Bibi Umm Hakim, daughter of Usayd al-Thaqafi as a wife of Imam Baqir(A.S), who was the mother of two of the Imam's (A.S) children and another wife of Imam Baqir(A.S) who was a concubine(Slave) and the mother of three other children of Imam Baqir (A.S) The number of the children of Imam Baqir(A.S) was seven, including five sons and two daughters but most famous of them Is Imam Ja'far Sadiq(A.S) and further, we discuss the Period of Imamate Of Imam Baqir(A.S) was according to Sunni and Shia scholars, Imam Baqir(A.S) became the Imam in 95/713 after his father Imam Ali Zain-ul-Abideen(A.S) was martyred and Was Giving that Responsibility of leading the Muslims And his followers  Teach them more About Islam until his martyrdom in 114/733 (or 117/735).

The Humility Of Hazrat Imam Muhammad Baqir (A.S):

Imam Muhammad Baqir (A.S) was of very unusually simple and humble nature or personality, especially with the poor peoples of the holy city of the medina. When the poverty-stricken people of Medina visited. came to Imam Baqir(A.S) he seated them beside himself. Rather he used to spread out the skirt of his cloak and make them sit on it. He spoke with the poor persons in an affectionate way. If one of them fell ill Imam Baqir(A.S) was visited them. If on the way a needy person met him and desired to tell him his woes he used to halt at once and listen attentively to his problems and Imam Baqir(A.S) solved there Financial or any kind problems.

Patience Of Hazrat Imam Muhammad Baqir (A.S):

According to many Shia and Sunni or many Islami books, Imam Muhammad Baqir (a.s) was also a very patient and thankful personality just Like his Father Imam Ali Zain-ul-Abideen(A.S). Many circumstances (situation) arose (rise) for him that anyone else would not have been able to bear, but he observed absolute patience and self-control. What can be said about others, some wretched relatives of the Imam himself caused trouble to him? They also made many efforts to cause disrespect to the Imam, but he observed patience. Hisham the ruler of Syria had restricted his movements and made life very difficult for him but he never forsook patience. He continued to act on the behavior of his holy ancestors(Holy Family of The Holy Prophet(PBUH).

The kindness of Hazrat Imam Muhammad Baqir(A.S):

Hazrat Imam Muhammad Baqir (A.S) was Also extremely affectionate(caring) towards his persons and also his slaves were always yearning(hanger) that Imam Baqir(A.S) Should take their services, but the Imam Baqir (A.S) mostly used to do his own work. He first fed(food) the male and female slaves than After Imam Baqir(A.S) ate himself. He gave them better food for slaves and himself ate ordinary(very Simple) things. The slightest excuse was sufficient for him But For free the slaves. He was never harsh with any of his Workers or his slaves and never beat anyone of them And Imam Baqir(A.S) was a Pure Heart.

Presence of Hazrat Imam Muhammad Baqir(A.S) in Karbala:

In the Islamic History and Some Sunni but Almost Shia Ulmas described that Imam Muhammad Baqir (A.S) was about two and a half years old when he had to accompany with his GrandFather Imam Hussain (A.S) and the rest of his Holy family members on the journey to (Karbala) Iraq. After the tiring journey from Holy Medina to Karbala, Imam Baqir(A.S) was eye-witnessed the shocking and tragic events Battle of Karbala and then the heart-rupturing events with his Fathe Imam Ali Zain-ul-Abideen(A.S) in Syria(Sham) and Iraq. After one year of detention in Damascus(Sham), he returned in 62 A.H. to Holy Medina when he was 4 years of age.

Martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Muhammad Baqir(A.S):

According to many Islamic Scholars In 100 A.H., Hasham bin Abdul Malik became the Caliph. He was a known bitter enemy of the Ahle Bait(Family Of Holy Prophet(PBUH) and he did not waste any opportunity to bring hardship or Harm to the Ahle Bait (A.S). Shia Ulma Allame Majlisi said that during the last days of the evil Hashem caliphate, Hasham came to Holy Makkah for Performing Hajj. Imam Muhammad Baqir (A.S) and his son Imam Jafer Sadiq (A.S) were also present at Holy Makkah Hasham was informed that Imam Jafer Sadiq (A.S) delivered a sermon among the Hajis(Pligrams) that he and his father were the Allah"s vicegerent and His command on earth and whoever was their friend and well-wisher will go to heaven and whoever is their evil enemy will be destined to hellfire. This infuriated Hasham and when he reached the Country of Damascus(Sham), he ordered the governor of Holy Madina, Ibrahim bin Walid to send his message to Imam Baqir (A.S) to his court. Hasham had evil planned to malign the Imam Baqir in his court but the Imam Baqir (A.S) overturned his evil plans which further ignited his enmity and he ordered the Imam Baqir (A.S) to be locked in jail While in the jail, Imam Muhammad Baqir (AS) gave sermons to the other prisoners to teach them about Islam which created an atmosphere of great enthusiasm and devotion towards the Imam Baqir (A.S) and against evil Hasham seen all situations and the risk of a revolt, after that he ordered the release of the Imam Baqir (A.S). He then ordered the governor of Holy Medina that Imam Muhammad Baqir (A.S) should be poisoned. they gave hard poison to Imam Muhammad Baqir (A.S) was Martyred at the time of Martyrdom Imam Baqir(A.S) age was 57 years, and in the 114th year of the Hijra, on the According to the Islamic Calander seventh day of the month of Zil-Hijjah, in Holy Medina, Imam Baqir(A.S) left this world. His Holy body was buried in Jannat-ul-Baqi cemetery alongside the graves of Imam Hasan (A.S) and Imam Sajjad (A.S) in Madina.
